How to determine if it's a bad day for books

I saw other posts in the offshore forum mentioning that yesterday started out as a bad day for the books and I'm wondering how somebody would know this.

Cause I was always under impression that books tried to get 50% action on each side so theoretically doesn't matter who wins, books will come out ahead. I realize this can't be done 100% of the time but how do posters here know when books are getting beat? Do they poll line managers or sharps for that kind of feedback? Is there some general rule of thumb?

I think usually what happens is a handfull of books make comments about their day and one or 5 words get overkilled. There are 1800 online gaming sites. Hard to tell what the real take/loss was. Another factor is that many books gamble. They do not necessarily even out (50%) all the action.

Good luck

Thanks, General.

Btw, I was in USMC myself, 3502 Motor T - got out in 91 after serving in Desert Storm. Was mostly with 8th Motors in Camp Lejeune.

Are you retired and when/how long were you in? What MOS, unit(s)?

MUDBONE...............i wont get into the part about books gambling, but a good rule of thumb is when favorites go down in the nfl, public loves betting favorites....sharp action usually goes against the betting publics choice

General is right there are a ton of gaming sites.......but in this business a consensus can be made, on which way the action is going by looking at a handful of shops......

btw......good to have a fellow southern boy here.......

the best thing to do is ask around in the forums before posting up with anyone
